MUSICAL THEATRE INTENSIVE  (AGES 8-16)

Join us for MDPAA’s Summer MUSICAL THEATRE INTENSIVE!! In this three week program, students will take classes in voice, acting, dance, and musical theater history with our fun and experienced instructors!!!  The morning session will include lessons in breath support, scene study and proper body alignment. In the afternoon, students will engage in theatre games, improvs,  and brainstorming to create, write, and rehearse a musical to be performed for family and friends!!

 

In order for students to get the most out of the program and be a part of the end of session show, we ask that participants miss no more than one day per session and show day is mandatory.

Students can take both sessions as the material and shows will change.

DANCE INTENSIVE  (AGES 8-15)

Join us for MDPAA’s Summer DANCE INTENSIVE!! In this three week program designed for dancers of all levels, students ages 8-14 will take rigorous yet fun classes in a plethora of genres to include Hip Hop, Jazz, African, Tap, and Ballet.  Our instructors are seasoned, working professionals and eager to share their experiences and instruction with their students.  The morning session will include a stretch class and ballet training to emphasize proper body alignment, disciple and balance, and Jazz. In the afternoon, students will move into African and Hip Hop, and Tap classes that will touch on terminology, across the floor movement and a choreographed piece to be performed for family and friends!!
